Gangkiz’s Esther’s Pre-Debut Story
Sol Rim debuted as a soloist when she was 22 years old. Sol Rim was determined to become the second Jung Yun-jeong and made an appearance in the music industry.
Sol Rim released her 1st mini-album Toad’s Love and was actively promoting it on various stages. ”Toad’s Love” is an exciting and lively trot song written by Lee Seung-soo, the composer who made the popular trot song titled “Baby.” It fits perfectly with Sol Rim’s youthful image. Lee Tae-sun from KBS’ Gag Concert took on the role of producer for the entire album.
Sol Rim said, “Thank you for having a lot of good people participate in the album.”
Born in Seocheon, Chungcheongnam-do, Sol Rim is a student from Osan University. Sol Rim said, “I like trot so much. I’m not interested in appearing in the show yet since I just made debut.” She also said, “I’ll try to compete as a trot singer. I’m receiving hard training from singer Shin Hyo-beom.”
Sol Rim continued, “When I go to an event, it’s great to see the audience reacting to the trot. Every time I stand on stage, I feel so good.”
Sol Rim’s manager is a person who has been in charge of managing comedians such as Park Jun-hyung in the past. Because of this relationship, Sol Rim has a wide acquaintance with comedians. Sol Rim said, “Park Hwi-soon is particularly nice to me. I’m having a broadcast with comedian seniors such as Park Jun-hyung, Jeong Jong-cheol, Oh Jeong-tae, Jo Won-seok, and Ahn Sang-tae, and they keep telling me to become a comedian.”
Sol Rim showed a deeper affection for her activities as a singer that made her debut in 2010. She said, “On stage, a singer performs in 3 minutes and 30 seconds. On stage, only when all performances, including singing, harmonize can they receive applause and impress the audience,” she said. “It takes a lot of training to show a good stage. It is necessary. A high level of concentration is also required. Singer activities are a long tunnel with no end, but that is the charm.”
At the end of the interview for No Cut News, Sol Rim said, “I want to contribute to society with my songs. I want to give joy and laughter to people in need. I will become a singer who can truly move people through my songs. Please watch over me while thinking like I’m your sister.”
