What is Krystal Jung’s Relationship with Kai of EXO?

W Magazine

The only confirmed dating rumor of Krystal is her relationship with label-mate Kai of EXO. Kai and Krystal started dating in 2016, which was confirmed by SM Entertainment’s official statement that reported, “The two were close friends and began having feelings for each other this year.” They met some 10 years ago as trainees. Their fans called this couple “Kaistal”.

Unfortunately, SM Entertainment announced their breakup in June 2017. The reason for their breakup is unknown, but their conflicting schedules seem to be the most suspected one. When the news got out, there were many speculations regarding the matter. One of them is that Krystal couldn’t stand the hate from Kai and Exo’s fans towards her.

If anything, many people regretted the decision since they were one of the most powerful couples in K Pop industry at the time.

Jessica Jung, Krystal Jung’s Sister

OnStyle’s Jessica&Krystal

Jessica Jung and Krystal Jung are one of the most powerful siblings in the Kpop industry since each of them became a part of most successful girl groups in Korea. Their individual popularity also can’t be denied as they both have their own charms and are equally talented. The public also loved how both of them seem to rely on each other a lot and always supported one another in any conditions.

Earlier this year Krystal opened up about her close relationship with her sister, Jessica. She shared that she considers Jessica her mentor, saying that she relies heavily on her. She said  “To me, my sister is my best adviser,” she remarked. “She’s both a family member and a friend, and above all, we’re in the same field of work. We share things with each other that we can’t tell anyone else.”

They debuted under SM Entertainment in different groups with a two year gap. Their shared experience of being an idol under SM Entertainment has given the two sisters an unusual amount of common ground. Krystal added, “Because Jessica debuted first, she has more experience. She helps me by telling me lots of things, so that I don’t have go through the same trial-and-error process that she did.”

Krystal and Jessica also starred in their own reality show called Jessica & Krystal. In all 14 episodes they shared about their beauty hacks and their everyday lives as idols. In the show Krystal once said that she envied Jessica the most because, “my sister and I have really different images. I’m envious of her because she can pull off a feminine style.”
