Amber’s Solo Activity and Most Recent News

Just like Luna, Amber is more active as a solo artist after the inactivity of f(x). Amber made her official debut as a solo artist on February 13, 2015, launching her debut EP, Beautiful. The title track, Shake The Brass, featured SNSD’s Taeyeon.

In March 2016, Amber’s solo song, Borders, was released as part of the SM Station project. She was involved in composing, writing lyrics, and arranging the track. Written entirely in English, the hip-hop track expresses the memories of Amber’s childhood and sends a positive message not to give up on life’s difficulties

On May 22, 2016, Amber announced the release of the third single in the Crossing series, after Borders and On My Own, on May 25, 2016. The single is titled Need to Feel Needed.

SM Entertainment released the official music video for Breathe Again on September 9, 2016. This was the first fully-English song Amber’s done, and her first collaboration with Japanese DJ, Ksuke.

On April 15, 2018, on SoundCloud, Amber posted a solo mix tape of six songs in English, Rogue Rouge. She also posted a music video on YouTube for one song, Closed Doors, with plans to release six videos in total.

She released a single album White Noise + Lost At Sea in September 2018, featuring two songs, White Noise and Lost At Sea.

After leaving SM Entertainment in September 2019, Amber announced that she has joined a new agency, Steel Wool Entertainment. In July 2018, she signed a contract with Steel Wool Entertainment to regulate her activities in the United States. So, now she will stay and officially join the agency.

This was revealed by Amber in an upload on Instagram, with a caption in English: New adventures with @wearesteelwool to come. Amber said she was impatient to promote her songs with Steel Wool Entertainment.

Steel Wool Entertainment also updated their profile page on their official site. Amber Liu became the name that entered the profile of the artist who joined Steel Wool Entertainment.

Kyrstal’s Solo Activity and Most Recent News

Krystal is focusing more on her acting career than her music career ever since (fx) went inactive. In 2015, Krystal played alongside actor Seo Jun-young in a 10-minute film entitled Listen To My Song, for the 10th anniversary of W Korea. Krystal also played leading roles in a Chinese film entitled Unexpected Love with EXO’s Lay, and in the Chinese drama Graduation Season.

It was reported on February 12, 2017, that Krystal would be releasing the collaborative single I Don’t Wanna Love You with June One Kim, a member of Glen Check. The song was first announced at the re-opening of a clothing store in Seoul on February 14, 2017, and then released online on February 15, 2017, at midnight KST.

In July 2017, Krystal starred in tvN’s drama based on the Korean manga Bride of the Water God. The same year, she starred In the black comedy-drama Wise Prison Life, produced by Answer PD Shin Won-ho, and her performance garnered good reviews. GQ Korea named Krystal Woman of the Year.

In 2018, Krystal was cast as the female lead of OCN’s crime action drama Player.

Krystal and her older sister, Jessica Jung, shot their second reality show in the United States in 2019. She was cast in Aaebigyuhwan, an independent romantic film, the same year.

She still has a contract with SM and has become the only f(x) member who stayed at the company. Let’s keep supporting her in the future!
