Who Is Moon Sung-geun?

Moon Sung-geun is a South Korean actor and politician. Moon was born in Tokyo, Japan, on May 28, 1953. After graduating from Sogang University with a bachelor’s degree in trade, Moon worked as a salary employee for 8 years. In 1985, he began acting in theater and became a key figure at the beginning of the Renaissance Daehangno stage drama in the mid-1980’s. He played a big role in mega-hits such as Chilsu and Mansu and Until the End of Time. He debuted in 1990 in the Black Republic directed by Park Kwang-su. Moon began his political activities in 2009, becoming interim chairman of the United Democratic Party in 2012 and following his father’s career, Rev. Moon Ik-hwan.
