General Information About Actress Kim Ja-ok
Kim Ja-ok was a South-Korean veteran actress who was well-known for playing the roles of Park Bong Sook on the 2005 MBC drama “My Name is Kim Sam Soon”, Choi Han Gyul’s mother in the 2007 MBC drama “Coffee Prince”, Kim Bok Sil in the 2008 SBS drama “Working Mom”, Kim Ja-ok (her own name) on the 2009-2010 MBC drama “High Kick! 2”, Park Bok Ja on the 2011-2012 KBS2 drama “Ojakgyo Family”, and more. She was called the Nation’s Princess of the 1970s.
When she attended Elementary School Affiliated with Seoul National University of Education / Seoul National University Elementary School, she made her debut as a television actress in 1962 on TBC’s drama “My House 5 Siblings (우리집 5남매)”.
She made her official debut as a movie actress in the short movie “Chunwon Lee Kwang Su (춘원 이광수)” in 1969. In the following year, she was admitted to a public recruit by MBC in 1970.
She was scouted by Seoul Central Broadcasting Station (now KBS) in 1971, and was selected as a heroine of the drama “Shim Cheong Jeon (심청전)”.
She was promoted to stardom.
She has enjoyed a career renaissance since the turn of the millennium with critically acclaimed performances in dramas.
