Jung Woo’s Wife
On November 5, 2013, Jung Woo’s agency reps confirmed that Jung Woo and Kim Yoo Mi are dating. They started off in a junior and senior relationship, and ever since August 2013 they developed feelings for each other while filming “Red Family” when they dined together along with their “Red Family” movie staff members in the last half of the movie production stage. They also promoted the movie together. Jung Woo was the one who confessed to Kim Yoo Mi first, and Kim Yoo Mi opened up her heart to Jung Woo’s considerate and warm nature.
As Jung Woo and Kim Yoo Mi were in the beginning stages of getting to know one another carefully, they actually wanted to reveal their relationship, but Jung Woo was being extra careful to protect Kim Yoo Mi’s position as an actress and was worried that unnecessary attention would be put on Kim Yoo Mi because Jung Woo was receiving a lot of interest and was very popular for his “Reply 1994” character at the moment.
On January 13, 2016, Jung Woo surprised many fans by announcing their wedding news on his twitter account and posting a letter which translated by Soompi, “I sincerely thank fans who are always with me and who have given me great love through various projects.
It’s not anything… I have news that I want to receive your blessing from first. I’m worried that you will be suddenly shocked, but I am gathering courage. I am getting married to my colleague and the person I love, Kim Yoo Mi, on January 16 in Seoul.
With her, I hope to make my dream and hope of having a happy family come true.
I thank you fans who have trusted and supported me more than anyone else. I am cautious that there might be less interest in the projects I am in due to my personal circumstance.
We plan on having a modest and quiet ceremony to follow both of our parents’ wishes. I am regretful and heavy-hearted that I could not deliver this news to you in person. Please congratulate this new beginning in [my] life.
I’d like to once again thank my fans who have always supported me and made my plain self shine brightly. I promise to show an improved image of myself as an actor and as a man.”
