Lee Hong-gi was born on March 2nd, 1990, in Gwangju, South Korea. Lee Hong-gi is a South Korean singer. He is one of the members of the popular K-Pop group F.T.ISLAND. He is also an actor, songwriter, composer, writer and fashion designer.
He made his acting debut in 2002 on KBS2.

Solo Album Do N Do
Lee Hong-ki made a solo comeback in October 2018. He released the mini-album Do n Do with the title track “Cookies” with BtoB’s main rapper, Jung Il-hoon. The album was released on October 18th, 2018, at 18:00 KST. This solo comeback is the first since Lee Hong Gi released the album FM302 in November 2015.
The lyrics of this song were written by Lee Hong-gi along with Ilhoon and IL. The three of them also composed the song. This album contains five songs in it, including “I AM” (Feat. Cheetah), “COOKIES” (Feat. BTOB’s Ilhoon), “COME TO ME” (Feat. SF9’s Zuho), “모닥불” [Bonfire] (Feat. Dindin), “YELLOW,” and “GOOD NIGHT.”
FT ISLAND’s Zapping Album
Choi Jong-hoon had to leave FT ISLAND after he was dragged into the scandal of spreading obscene photos and videos, but the group led by Lee Hong-gi didn’t stop working. Speaking about FT ISLAND’s latest album, Zapping, Lee Hong-gi said that this album is a blend of the band’s idealism and public taste. “We think this is an album that has a great mix of music that we want to mix with music that the public likes,” explained Lee Hong-gi. “This album also has elements that remind us of FT ISLAND’s music in the past. Of course, you will also be able to hear how our music has grown until now,” he continued.
The album Zapping carries the single “Quilt” which carries rock music and tells about the pain experienced by someone when parting ways with his lover. For fans of FT ISLAND, this album should not be missed because this will be Lee Hong-gi’s final work before he begins his military services at the end of September 2019.

FT ISLAND is preparing to return to the Korean audience as four members since the departure of former leader Choi Jong-hoon from FNC Entertainment. The band held a series of ‘[II]’ concerts on June 29th and 30th, 2019, at the Hwajeong Gymnasium of Korea University in Seoul, South Korea. This concert took place approximately ten months after their last concert in the country, which was held in August 2018.

Lee Hong-ki recently chose the musical I Love You as the last work before registering military service and was devoted to practice. However, only 10 days after the opening of the show, Lee Hong-ki was notified of the registration, so it was inevitable for him to leave the production.

FT ISLAND member Lee Hong-ki underwent his military service. Before leaving to carry out his mandatory duties, Lee Hong-ki also posed with a number of people. On September 28th, the singer uploaded several photos on Instagram of him posing with many people, including actor Kim Soo-hyun, Seo Hyo-rim, Park Shin-hye, and even her fans.

Lee Hong-ki Has officially Undergone Into Military Service!
FT Island’s main vocalist Lee Hong-ki underwent military service from Monday (9/30/2019). At 1:40 local time, Lee Hong-ki arrived at the basic training center in the 21st infantry division. Standing in front of 500 fans from all over the world, Lee Hong-ki said, “Thank you very much. I will be back in good health.” He continued, “We will meet again after living each other’s lives comfortably.”
Before undergoing military service, Lee Hong-ki shared photos and videos taken by fans who supported him on the musical stage I loved You. Rapper DinDin shared his photo with Lee Hong-ki and wrote, “Hongki, come back safely!”
