ZIN is one of the members of the South Korean girl group D-UNIT. She debuted on August 1st, 2012, under D-Business Entertainment, with the other two members RAM and UJIN. Later, JNEY was added to the group as a temporary member.

D-UNIT’s ZIN’s Debut Era
D-UNIT debuted with the song “I’m Missin You” which was written by Kush, who has previously written many hit songs for Big Bang and 2NE1. ZIN, or Soojin, was also previously a trainee of YG Entertainment. She became the main vocalist, lead rapper, and youngest member of the group.
The group has been offered a musical color in the hip-hop and R&B genres. The CEO had been preparing the group for a year before. Zin, as a member of D-UNIT, debuted with the album Welcome To Business. The label, D-Business announced that D-UNIT applied an interesting lineup concept for the group. They will add or reduce members along the way which is super interesting compared to other girl groups.
D-UNIT’s ZIN’s Golden Era
D-UNIT received an award in 2012 at the 20th Korean Cultural Entertainment Awards in the category for Best Rookie Idol Group. The girl group increased their fame by making public appearances and attending international fan signing events in Japan. This is considered to be the golden era of D-UNIT in delivering their talents. Moreover, one of the members, RAM is also the sister of a member of another popular girl group from that era, T-ARA. Besides, Boram and ZIN were also former trainees of YG Entertainment, one of the big music labels in South Korea.
In December 2013, D-UNIT released a new single titled “It’s You” which marked their last performance with the complete members of the girl group. The music video featured Soomi, the former member of Seeya and 5dolls, yet it is not published yet.
UJIN left the group in May 2013 because of many circumstances. As the decision from the label was made previously, there was adding and removing of members along the cycles. Just before D-UNIT came to a hiatus, they disbanded. The label had added JNEY as the guest or temporary member before.

Later on, ZIN released her new single titled “I Don’t Want to Send You to the Army” which has an R&B genre that really displays her charismatic vocal abilities. This song is about her expression of pain in sending the beloved one to the army. Even though she had never been in a relationship before, ZIN was able to pour out her soul on this song.
