What Turns You On? is CNBLUE’s fourth Japanese album, released on August 28 2013. The album comes with 11 songs, with three singles promoted. The album was released in four editions: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, Regular Edition and FamilyMart and famima.com Limited Edition. The album sold 26,921 copies on the first day and went on to sell 43,492 copies in the first week. The album ranked Number 2 on Oricon’s Weekly Chart.

The three singles for this album are Robot, Blind Love and Lady. All of the songs were ranked in the top five of Oricon’s Weekly Chart. Robot was written by Yong-hwa and charted at Number 2 on Oricon’s Weekly Chart. Blind Love and Lady ranked at Number 4 on Oricon’s Weekly Chart on two separate weeks.

Wave is CNBLUE’s fifth Japanese album, released on September 17 2014. For this album, the group chose electronic dance music as the genre, along with rock. The album consists of eleven songs that were sold in three physical versions. They released the Limited Edition A version, the Limited Edition B version and the Boice (CNBLUE’s fan club’s name) Limited Edition version.

They released the first single from this album, Truth, on April 23 2014 along with its music video. The second single, Go Your Way, was released on August 20 2014. A music video for Radio was uploaded onto Warner Music Japan’s YouTube channel on August 27 2014. The song was chosen as the opening theme for the music show Music Launcer and for the ending theme for Music BB and Rokemitsu Friday.

Colors

One year later after CNBLUE released their fifth Japanese album, on September 30 2015, CNBLUE released their sixth Japanese album, Colors. The album comes with eleven songs that were mostly written by CNBLUE’s Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jong-hyun and Lee Jung-shin. The album was released in four editions: Regular Edition, Limited A Edition, Limited B Edition and fan club only Boice Edition.

On April 8 2015, CNBLUE released the first single, White, for this album. White debuted at Number 4 on Oricon’s Weekly Singles Chart, and managed to stay in the chart for five weeks.

On September 9 2015, they released Supernova and performed the song on TV Asashi’s Music Station.

The album Colors was ranked Number 1 on the Oricon Album Chart and peaked at Number 2 on the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart.

On October 19 2016, CNBLUE released their seventh Japanese album, Euphoria. The album consists of ten songs written by Lee Jong-hyun, Jung Yong-hwa, and Lee Jung-shin. Just like the previous album, this album also came in four editions: Regular Edition, Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Boice Limited Edition.

The first single of this album is Puzzle. It was released on May 11 2016 and debuted at number four on Oricon’s Weekly Singles Chart. It charted for four straight weeks, with 30,000 copies was sold. On September 12, a music video foe Glory Days was uploaded onto CNBLUE’s official YouTube channel.

The album ranked at Number 4 on the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart and the Billboard Japan Top Album Sales chart. The album also managed to get second place on the Oricon Albums Chart.

Stay Gold is CNBLUE’s eighth Japanese album, released on October 18 2017. The album comes with eleven songs. It was released released in four editions: Regular Edition, Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Boice Limited Edition. For Limited Edition A they included a bonus DVD with a music video and a special feature of Starting Over. For Limited Edition B, the DVD included a multi-angle performance of Shake and Lie. The Boice Limited Edition comes with special items for their fan club. The album was ranked Number 4 on the Billboard Japan Hot Albums and the Oricon Albums Chart.

On May 10 2017, CNBLUE released the first single from this album, Shake. Shake has sold 26,000 copies and charted at Number 5 on Oricon’s Singles Chart for four weeks.On September 18 2017, they released the Starting Over music video on Yahoo! Japan’s service GyaO.
