The movie Monstrum was written and directed by Hoh Jung-ho, and starred actors and actresses such as Kim Myung-min, Kim In-kwon, Hyeri, Choi Woo-shik, Lee Kyoung-young, Park Hee-soon, and Park Sung-woong.

This film’s story is inspirited by a wild animal that lived in Joseon Dinasty, called “Monstrum” by society. During a breakout of the plague, rumors of a terrifying creature in the mountains of Joseon started spreading. The king called his most trusted general, Yoon Gyeom, his daughter, Myung , trusted right hand man, Sung Han, and Heo  to set out to find the rumored beast.

‘Monstrum’ was first released on September 2, 2018, in South Korea with a duration of 105 minutes. The genre is Period-16th Century, Action, and Monster.

The film Parasite was just released this year, and is still playing in theaters in some countries outside South Korea. Parasite was released on May 30, 2019, with a run-time of about 131 minutes.

The movie was written and directed by Bong Joon-ho, and is a family genre. The story tells about two families, Ki-Tae’s family and Mr. Park’s family. The cast of this film includes Song Kang-ho, Jang Hye-jin, Choi Woo-shik, Park So-dam, Lee Sun-kyun, Cho Yeo-Jeong, Jung Ji-so, Jeong Hyun-jun, and Lee Jung-eun, with Park Seo-joon as the cameo.

Parasite is about an older man named Ki-Taek, who is a father, a husband, poor, and unemployed. He lives with his wife, Choong-sook, his son, Ki-woo, and his daughter, Ki-jung, in a damp, insect-laden semi-basement apartment in a low income area in Seoul, South Korea.

One day, Ki-woo (Choi Woo-shik) meets up with his friend, Min-hyuk (Park Seo-joomn), at a nearby convenient store for drinks. His friend will be going abroad to study and wants Ki-woo to replace him at his tutoring job while he is abroad. Soon, Ki-woo enters the life of the wealthy Mr. Park’s family, with Ki-woo’s own family lurking in the periphery.

Playing a role like Ki-woo, Choi Woo-shik shows the depth of his acting in all its different styles and emotions. His acting skill is beyond doubt, and leaves audiences fascinated.

In this movie, he shows the audience how to be a Ki-woo, who hasn’t even finished his own school term but can make a true private tutor for the daughter from a wealthy family.

Recently, Woo-shik has been busy with his new movie, called Puppy, that will have him co-starring with Gong Myung. On February 20, both actors’ agencies confirmed that their actor would be appearing in the new movie. Management SOOP stated, “Choi Woo-shik will appear in movie “Puppy”, and Fantagio agency confirmed that their actor, Gong Myung, would be appear in the movie, too.
