As shown in the Instagram post above, Cha Eun Woo has reportedly been cast as the lead in the new MBC historical drama, opposite Shin Se Kyung. According to an exclusive report on February 7, ASTRO‘s Cha Eun Woo has been cast as the male lead of a new MBC historical romance series.
The upcoming MBC drama series Rookie Officer Goo Hae Ryung tells the story of early 19th century Joseon, a time when women who chose to learn how to read and write were frowned upon. Cha Eun Woo will reportedly play the role of a lonely prince named Lee Rim, whose personal relationship status is single-since-birth, but who lives a double life as a secretive hit romance novel writer.
The producers of Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung officially announced, “The drama’s first episode has been confirmed to air on July 17 at 8:55 p.m. KST.”
They continued, “Although on the outside, Lee Rim appears to be a glamorous prince who wants for nothing, he is a character who internally suffers from pain and loneliness unknown by others. After meeting Hae Ryung, he will take his first steps into the outside world and evolve bit by bit, so please show a lot of interest (in his character)”
