Here Are the Details About BTS’s Invitation to The White House!

If we start talking about BTS‘s achievements, we will never end. Starting from their music, the members’ skills, until their opportunities to attend many special and significant events in the world which have made everyone proud, especially ARMY. As we know, BTS are the first Korean boy group that got a chance to attend and speak at the UN in 2018 and 2021. Then, in 2022, they also got an honorable invitation from the President of the United States to come to The White House.

A piece of surprising news involving BTS was announced by The White House Washington on May 26th, 2022. They say BTS would join President Joe Biden to discuss the inclusion and representation of Asians and anti-Asian hate and discrimination. BTS are considered a group that brings positive vibes to everything. So, they gained the trust to attend that honorary meeting and big event. This meeting also celebrates Heritage Month of Asian Americans and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders (AANHPI).

Finally, on May 31st, 2022, BTS attended the press brief in the White House press room, and each member spoke about issues related to Anti-Asian Crime and their diversity. Firstly, the host (Karine Jean Pierre) introduced BTS and opened the discussion. After that, RM started his speech by saying:

“Hi, we’re BTS. It’s a great honor to be invited to the White House today to discuss important issues related to Anti-Asian Hate Crime and its diversity.

Reporters Flocked to Ask BTS Questions!

After BTS members ended their speeches, many reporters were willing to risk everything to be able to ask BTS questions at The White House. Reporters weren’t allowed to attend the meeting and ask BTS questions during the press conferences. However, as soon as the meeting was over, Karine told them there wasn’t enough time for BTS to answer all the questions. Meanwhile, RM, who was previously ready to answer all the questions, immediately apologized politely.

BTS Meet President Joe Biden to Discuss Discrimination Issues

The meeting of BTS and President Joe Biden occurred at 2:30 PM EST in the Oval Room. Still, in the same context, BTS and the President discussed the Anti-Asian hate crimes and diversity. Besides the invitation for BTS to come to The White House, they reportedly paid themselves off for their trip. BTS members spent their own money to visit the US.
