Lee Hae-joon’s Appearance In Boys24
Lee Hae-joon was one of the contestants of Boys24, which was a Korean pre-debut group survival show that was formed by CJ E&M. Lee Hae-joon successfully entered as a member of Unit White and continued his promotion at the end of 2016 by joining Collabo White.
Although Unit White often received harsh criticism from the judges, Lee Hae-joon managed to escape with 26 other contestants to do 260 shows during the year, where he often got health problems due to his busy schedule. After that, Lee Hae-joon joined Unit Red. Although he managed to promote until the final episode, he did not get a chance to debut with the group after Boys24 ended.
Then, on the final night of Boys24 in August 2017, Lee Hae-joon did not manage to qualify as a member of the IN2IT debut team.
Lee Hae-joon’s Appearance In MixNine
After trying his luck to debut immediately through Boys24, however, his opportunity was lost because he was unable to debut with the group he had prepared. Nevertheless, he didn’t stop there, and Lee Hae-joon, who had changed his name to Lee Ru-bin, and was under Liveworks Company, continued his luck on another survival show, MIXNINE. Two months later, fans were again surprised by the appearance of Lee Hae-joon with a new identity in the survival show.
Lee Ru-bin was in the first place, and was in the Top 9, but gradually decreased his position. This had become Yang Hyun-suk’s question, “Lee Ru-bin, why are you recently not as confident as before?” Lee Ru-bin replied, “Yes, lots of bad comments about me because I’ve always considered myself a ‘Prince’.” Then, Yang Hyun-suk responded by saying, “I prefer you who are like before (re: Prince).”
Ahead of the final night of MIXNINE, Lee Ru-bin suffered a rib injury due to falling off the stage. While hesitating, he finally decided to participate on the final night of MIXNINE thanks to the support of other contestants. When the men’s debut team members were announced, Lee Ru-bin was ranked third and qualified to make his debut with the other eight winners.
But unfortunately, Lee Ru-bin once again had to return to being a trainee after YG Entertainment announced that the planned debut of MIXNINE was officially canceled.
