BLACKPINK’s Concert Schedule In Japan
It is already known for Kpop fans that at some point in career, Korean girl groups and boy groups will expand their job horizon by debuting in other East Asia countries, such as Japan and China. BLACKPINK is not an exception as they also venture to South Korea’s neighbor country, Japan, which is known to be a promising country for promoting because the profit that comes from performing and merchandise goods are higher than the usual rate in South Korea.
BLACKPINK successfully concluded their showcase titled ‘BLACKPINK Premium Debut Showcase’ in Budokan arena, Tokyo on 20 July 2017. The seats for BLACKPINK Japan showcase were all sold out as the event was attended by 14.000 people. In Japan, BLACKPINK also performed on A-Nation Music Festival, the annual summer concert organized by Japan’s biggest independent record label Avex Group, along with their labelmate, iKON. The festival was held on 26-27 August 2017 at Ajinomoto Stadium, Tokyo.
BLACKPINK’s Upcoming Concert In 2018
As of now, the hint of a BLACKPINK concert in 2018 has not been seen yet. Many fans of BLACKPINK, which are known as ‘BLINK’, think that in order to do a full concert, BLACKPINK has to release at least two full albums so that the normal duration of a concert (one to two hours) can be fulfilled as BLACKPINK performs their songs. The possibility of BLACKPINK doing a concert in 2018 may still happen in a joint concert with a line up consisting of several artists and groups.
