On August 8, 2016, BLACKPINK released their second debut music video after “Whistle” entitled “BOOMBAYAH.” This music video is really popular and also gained 3.33 million views in 24 hours. Through this song, BLACKPINK managed to get first place and become the number-one hit on worldwide charts, namely Billboard World Digital Song Sales.
The song that is about a couple that is enjoying their moments gained 1 billion views on YouTube for the MV, which was around October 2020. Not only that but on November 1, 2021, BLACKPINK announced that the “BOOMBAYAH” music video gained over 1.3 billion views. Very impressive, right?
