About MADE

MADE was the long-awaited third full album of BIGBANG. After three years of hiatus following the release of the breakthrough album Alive in 2012, YG Entertainment released four single albums with a total of eight songs and three additional songs. The first single album, M, was released in May 2015 while the last single album, E, was released on August 5th, 2015. After over a year of the release of E, YG Entertainment finally released the full album Made on December 12th, 2016.
MADE topped the Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese music charts. Each of the single albums was named from the MADE letters: M, A, D, E and was released the first week of the months since May 2015. Each of the single albums consisted of two new songs in each series.
All the lyrics in MADE indicate the maturity of each member. Some of the lyrics talk about problems in Korean society. In “Last Dance,” Big Bang reflected the actual emotion of each member. They knew about the temporary hiatus from the music industry in order to commence the mandatory military enlistment.
The best producers in YG Entertainment, Teddy, Choice37, Jeon Young-jun, and 24 collaborated with G-Dragon in music composing. The team had already collaborated for BIGBANG’s previous album ALIVE.
