After releasing two singles in 2018 and two singles in 2019, most of the fans are confused because they haven’t heard again regarding A Train to Autumn’s current status and future activities. It was revealed that after participating in Cube Entertainment’s concert, U & Cube Festival 2019 in Japan, on March 23rd, 2019, and releasing the track “Spring Rain” on April 19th, 2019, the group’s whereabouts and future direction were not fully disclosed and were left hanging in the air.
It was assumed that the group was disbanded as their profile could no longer be found on Cube Entertainment’s website. The fans thought that it was due to the group’s inability to meet much mainstream success.
A thread on Reddit also discussed ATTA’s disbandment. One user wrote that after seeing an unreleased cover of BTOB’s song by ATTA, she went through the comment sections where many people are saying that ATTA was a project group and never actually signed an artist contract with Cube. That’s why their profile can’t be found on Cube’s website. Some people even said that the group only had a 1-year contract under Cube Entertainment and have already disbanded.

“I heard last year they disbanded. Actually, they are only a project group and never really signed an exclusive group contract with Cube. It’s a waste of talent… They are really talented ones and if they got different ost and comeback. Korea will know how talented they are,” one user under the username @ljgella commented.
Up until now, Cube has yet to release an official statement of the disbandment and their current status.
Where Are They Now?
A Train in Autumn’s Somi has not yet commented regarding the group’s disbandment rumor. But, she was seen to update her Instagram recently on August 4th, 2019. She uploaded a video of her singing with the caption, “I was in high school, but this time I think I sing better…….”
A photo of her posing in Cube Entertainment’s dance room in May 2020 caught people’s attention and made people assume that she was still a trainee of Cube Entertainment. Who knows, perhaps she will debut (again) in the future.
Meanwhile, A Train in Autumn’s Ah-young is resuming her career as a singer and YouTuber. In late July 2020, she uploaded a video of her singing with a caption asking people to share her video. She even listed her education and experience in the caption and even listed her contact inquiries, “……Location: Seoul/Incheon/Nissan 💌 inquiries, please contact peme/Insta DM (layounggg)!” she wrote.
At the same time, she’s also actively running her YouTube channel with content mostly revolving around cover videos. It can be concluded she is still trying to build her career as a professional singer.
Same as Ah-young, A Train in Autumn’s Soo-bin is also actively uploading video content of her song covers on her YouTube channel. She recently made a cover of Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon’s song titled “Happy.”
Unfortunately, Soo-bin’s Instagram is set to private so it is hard to know what she has been up to recently.
Meanwhile, A Train in Autumn’s Ji-hyun’s social media and contact information is still not disclosed. So, we still can not find out any information about her whereabouts after A Train in Autumn’s inactiveness.
