Debuting With Ateez
Seonghwa debuted with Ateez on October 24, 2018, with Treasure EP.1: All to Zero. The title track “Treasure” is a pop dance song that highlights the rapping skills of the members.
Seonghwa, who was born in 1998, passed as a rapper in his audition with KQ Entertainment, yet he performs as a vocalist.
Here is also Ateez’s debut song titled “Pirate King.” This hip-hop and rap song is so powerful and dynamic.
Seonghwa’s Injury and Not Being Able to Perform at KCON
It was confirmed by his label, KQ Entertainment, that Seonghwa injured his hip. The company said that during a modern dance lesson, Seonghwa starting feeling pain near his hip joint which led to an examination at the medical clinic. He was diagnosed as having a mild sprain. Even though it was only a mild injury, the medical team recommended that he not move much for 2 weeks to avoid worsening the injury.
On June 23, 2020, KQ Entertainment released a letter to confirm the event, which is quoted from Allkpop saying:
Hello. This is KQ Entertainment.
We are writing regarding ATEEZ member Seonghwa’s hip joint injury and his participation in future scheduled activities.
During a recent modern dance lesson, Seonghwa experienced pain near his hip joint. He went for an examination at a medical clinic specializing in that area, and he has been diagnosed with a mild sprain.
While it is a minor injury, he has been advised by the medical team to avoid intense movement for about two weeks, in order to avoid the worsening or relapse of the injury. Therefore, Seonghwa will only be taking part in the Meet & Greet segment of ‘KCON:TACT 2020 Summer’ on June 26, and it would be difficult for him to take part in the performance.

Seonghwa was still seen at KCON:TACT 2020 during the Meet & Greet on June 26, 2020, even though he did not perform.
Zero: Fever Part.1
On July 29, 2020, Seonghwa with Ateez released their comeback titled Zero: Fever Part.1. The teaser was released with the instrumental songs “Inception” and “Thanxx.”
On July 17, 2020, Ateez also released a short performance to both songs that showed their amazing visuals and talents. On this comeback, Seonghwa also showed his fantastic, toned abs through the dance choreography.
