On January 6, 2018, before going to pink space, Apink announced that they would be Live on V Live to give a ‘PINK SPACE’ spoiler broadcast.
At their concert, Apink became overwhelmed with love for their fans and eventually broke down into tears. One of the songs they sang on this day was ‘April 19th,’ which was a song for fans, written by the groups leader, Chorong, herself. While singing it, they couldn’t hold back their tears and started to cry. Even after the song was finished, Jung Eun Ji couldn’t stop crying, and eventually, the fans had to chant, “Don’t cry.”
Following that, Bomi admitted they had cried during rehearsal. She said, “I’ve never seen anyone cry during rehearsal. We get touched every time we listen to this song. I think the lyrics express our hearts and the fans’ hearts very well.” Jung Eun Ji added, “It’s a meaningful song because it’s a song for our fans and it’s the first song Chorong wrote. We were moved when we sang this to the fans for the first time, too.” The song ‘April 19th’ is a song made by Chorong and the meaning is that 19 April is the date they debuted as Apink.
Apink has just finished their concert ‘PINK WORLD 2020,’ which is their sixth concert. On January 9, Apink’s agency, Play M Entertainment, officially announced, “Just five minutes after tickets went on sale for Apink’s solo concert ‘Welcome to PINK WORLD,’ which will be held on February 1 and 2 at Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park, all seats for both concerts completely sold out.”
Notably, the upcoming concert marks the sixth consecutive time that Apink has managed to sell out a solo concert; the girl-group currently holds a perfect record starting from 2015, when they held their very first solo concert, ‘Pink Paradise.’ Titled ‘Welcome to PINK WORLD,’ Apink’s upcoming concert will feature a fun “festival” theme. According to Play M Entertainment, the members have personally contributed ideas and participated in the planning of the show. It is known that there are many celebrities who attend their concerts, including MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul, BTOB’s Ilhoon, actress Moon Ga-young, Park So-dam, and there’s also support from MAMAMOO’s Solar for Chorong.
Although there has been no official announcement about their next comeback, let’s always support and look forward to their next project, both as individuals and as Apink!
