1. R.O.S.E (2015)
R.O.S.E was released on April 22, 2015 and has both a Korean and a Japanese version. In addition to Korea, Wooyoung is also actively promoting his song in Japan and getting a positive response from fans in Japan. This song seemed to be a little all over the place, but that could be attributed to cultural differences. Still, the point that he wants to be positive about this beautiful woman in his life comes through loud and clear. The production is fun and upbeat and his vocal performance is a strong counterpoint.
The single was released in four versions: a limited A edition, a limited B edition, a special CD Only edition, and a regular CD Only edition. All editions of the single come with a ticket to participate in a high-touch fan meet, one randomly selected photo card out of six possible types, and a lottery code for a special present. The special edition of the single contains a bonus track I Know Your Shirts and is packaged in an LP-sized jacket. Two months later the single was released in Korea.

For this solo single, Wooyoung sang and performed an emotional rap line. The single itself was released alongside the Japanese single of the same name, Same Old. JYP had its own reasons for the concurrent release.
“We finally decided to release the single in South Korea as well. In order for fans to give their support to Wooyoung for a long time,” explained representative of JYP Entertainment.
The two versions of Same Old are the same songs in different languages. Wooyoung addressed the song for fans from South Korea as well as those of Japanese origin. The song is considered special because Wooyoung was directly involved in the songwriting process.
