Ko Won-hee has appeared in twelve title of dramas. She began her career in television series through MBN drama called Natural Burials in 2012. In 2013, she appeared on JTBC drama Blooded Palace: The War of Flowers and MBC drama Medical Top Team.

In 2015, she was acting as Jo Bong-hee in The Stars Are Shining. She met her boyfriend Lee Ha-yool while they were shooting the drama together. In 2017, Ko was cast as Lee Yoo-jin in KBS2 drama Strongest Deliveryman. She got her first award because of her superior acting in that drama.

Ko gained more recognition from the public because of her acting in Welcome to Waikiki. She managed the role of Kang Seo-jin who is the sister of Kang Dong-gu (played by Kim Jung-hyun) who wants to be a journalist. In the same year, she appeared as Yoon Sang-ah in KBS2 drama Your House Helper.
