General Information About Actor Lee Sang-yeob
Lee Sang-yeob is a South Korean actor who is well-known for playing several roles. One of his roles is as Lee Sang Yeob (himself) in JTBC’s I Live in Cheongdam-dong (2011), a sitcom drama. He also starred as Park Joon Ha in KBS2’s The Innocent Man (2012) a melodrama. He acted in a period (historical) drama as Prince Dongpyeong in SBS’s Jang Ok Jung, Living by Love (2013). He was cast as Jung Jae Min in MBC’s Give Love Away (2013) a drama. Another famous role was as Lee Yeo Bum in SBS’s While You Were Sleeping (2017), a fantasy drama.
He made his debut as an actor in 2007 with KBS2’s A Happy Woman, a television drama.
Lee Sang-yeob was cast in his first leading role in MBC’s Give Love Away, a drama that was aired in 2013.
Lee Sang-yeob is the only grandson of Kim Jong Jin. Kim Jong Jin was a former chairman of Dongkuk Steel Mill Co, Ltd. In late 2001, Kim Jong Jin passed away due to an unfortunate helicopter accident. He worked at Pohang University of Science Technology (POSTECH), the predecessor of POSCO from the late 1960s to 1994, and served as a chairman. POSTECH is a private research university in Pohang, South Korea. In 1998, he became the chairman of Dongkuk Steel Mill Co, Ltd, a steel company.
In an interview with a media in the past, Lee Sang-yeob mentioned, “I’m so embarrassed it got out. My family history has nothing to do with me. Some might think I’m an actor because my family is rich, but it’s not like that.” He doesn’t like to talk about his family, and he just wants to be known as an actor. And his parents are just ordinary people.
Lee Sang-yeob has a slight resemblance to South Korean’s trot singer Park Hyun Bin. In particular, you can see Lee Sang-yeob and Park Hyun Bin are very similar to each other, their resemblance is catching our eyes.
Lee Sang-yeob also said that actress Park Si Yeon was his ideal type of girl on the December 4th’s episode of SBS’s Strong Heart, a talk show.
