6. Beautiful Days (2008)
Beautiful Days is a drama written by Hong Young-Hee and Lee Sang-Min and directed by Jeon Chang-Geun. It was aired by KBS with a total of 149 episodes. In this drama, Kim Yoo-jung plays Jung Da-Jung.
This drama depicts the desperate hopes and love of the people of the 1970’s when the majority of families had four children. The true-to-life characters and the humorous language they use add fun to the drama. It is an opportunity to meet with down-to-earth and well-familiar neighbors and receive vitality from them. None of the drama’s characters are unsuccessful, and this is not a story of their success.
7. Dong Yi (2010)
Dong Yi is a drama written by Kim Yi-Young and directed by Lee Byung-Hoon and Kim Sang-Hyub which was aired by MBC with a total of 60 episodes. In this drama, Kim Yoo-jung plays as a younger version of Choi Suk-Bin, originally played by Han Hyo-Joo.
This is a historical drama based on the life of Dong-Yi, later known as Choi Suk-Bin. Suk-Bin worked in the royal palace as a lowly water maid. King Sok-Jong then selected Suk-Bin as his concubine. Suk-Bin then gave birth to Yeong-Jo, the second son of King Sok-Jong and the future king of Joseon. After the birth of Yeong-Jo, Dong-Yi would become Suk-Bin.
8. The Moon Embracing the Sun (2012)
The Moon Embracing The Sun was a popular drama in 2012. The drama stars Kim Soo-Hyun as Lee Hwon, Han Ga-In as Heo Yeon-Woo, and Jung Il-Woo as Prince Yangmyung. In this drama, Kim Yoo-jung plays a younger version of Heo Yeon-Woo or Wol. The drama is directed by Kim Do-Hoon and Lee Sung-joon and was aired by MBC with a total of 20 episodes.
The drama is about a love story between King Lee Hwon and a female shaman named Wol. Wol was born from a noble family and became the crown princess, but she was entrapped and faced execution. Finally, she lived as a shaman.
9. Love in the Moonlight (2016)
Love in the Moonlight is a drama with high ratings in 2016. The drama stars Park Bo-Gum as Lee Young and Kim Yoo-jung as Hong Ra-On as the main cast. The drama also makes Kim Yoo-jung close to the figure of Park Bo-Gum. The drama is directed by Kim Sung-Yoon and Baek Sang-Hoon and was aired by KBS2 with a total of 18 episodes.
This drama tells about Hong Ra-On disguising herself as a man and counseling men on dating. Due to a love letter she wrote for a client, she meets Crown Prince Hyomyeong. Hong Ra-On is unaware that he is the Crown Prince and Hyomyeong is unaware that Hong Ra-On is a woman. The Crown Prince is interested in Hong Ra-On. His eunuchs become aware of this and attempt to get Hong Ra-On to become one of them.
10. Clean with Passion for Now (2018)
Clean with Passion for Now is a drama to be released in November 2018 directed by No Jong-Chan and to be aired by JTBC. Kim Yoo-jung is confirmed to be playing with Yoon Gyun-Sang as the main characters. Kim Yoo-jung will play as Gil O-Sol and Yoon Gyun-Sang as Jang Sun-Gyeol.
This drama tells about how Sun-Gyeol has mysophobia and runs a cleaning company. He meets Gil O-Sol. She has a bright personality, and she does not mind getting dirty. With the help of Gil O-Sol, Jang Sun-Gyeol faces his mysophobia and also falls in love with her.
1. 2.1M KRW Donation and Skipping the Ice Bucket Challenge
Lately, the Ice Bucket Challenge has re-entered Korean idol talk, and many Korean idols are doing it. Kim Yoo-jung received the baton for the challenge from fellow actress Kim Bo-Ra. However, she refused to participate and instead donated 2.1M KRW, or about $1,900 USD.
She wrote, “Hello, I was nominated for the Ice Bucket Challenge thanks to actress Kim Bo Ra unnie. I heard that the Seung Il Hope Foundation is currently putting forth a lot of effort to establish Korea’s first ever Lou Gehrig’s disease rehabilitation hospital, please band together and cheer the foundation on until the day the hospital stands. Furthermore, I wish that many will continue to take interest in Lou Gehrig’s disease even after the hospital’s establishment. I will also take part in cheering the foundation on. I’m going to be acting Jung Tae-HangHo, actress Jung Hye-Sung nim, and actor Park Ji-Bin nim.”
On February 8, 2018, Kim Yoo-jung officially graduated from Goyang High School of Arts. Kim Yoo-jung has been announced to be waiting to pursue a college education. She will be focusing solely on her acting career in the meantime. The label stated, “It was recently decided she will not be taking the college entrance exam this year.”
Yoo-jung also wrote a long letter related to her decision to postpone college for acting.
“Hello, this is Yoo Jung. I want to tell my fans directly, so I’m posting here. From the beginning, I wanted to tell my fans first, but the article came out even before I knew it. In the near future, I will be 20! Next year, I plan to focus more on the entertainment world because I want to be closer to my fans and show different sides of myself to many people.
After negotiating with my parents, I decided not to go to college next year. Therefore, I will not take the CSAT this year. I also will not register anywhere. I want to go to a different school, and I’m looking forward to it, but I will not be greedy and I want to be an actress who can do the best I can.
Going to college is by choice and there is freedom to choose, so if I want to study later, I want to prepare hard and lecture later. I will always work hard for the fans who believe in me. I want to meet you soon. I always love you and thank you. Beautiful dreams tonight!”

In February 2018, the actress announced that she will be taking a hiatus to recover from thyroid surgery after being diagnosed with hypothyroidism. But, now her condition is better. Then, she gave news of her health to her fans.
She wrote, “I’m saying hello to you for the first time in a while. These days, I’m working hard on my health. I’m always thankful to those who are waiting and cheering for me. I’m also really thankful to the people in the drama team of Clean with Passion for Now who are waiting for me. Through Clean with Passion for Now, I will meet the fans with a healthier, better appearance.”
She continued, “Also, congratulations to all of you who are celebrating Coming of Age Day. Thank you to everyone who congratulated me as well. I’ll work harder to become a better person.”
