Kim Rae-won is a South Korean actor who started his debut as an actor in 1997 with a short role on the teenage drama series titled Me. Kim Rae-won played the role of the newcomer of a radio club at a senior high school. In the same year, he played a role in the K-drama series Half of Me that aired on MBC.

In 1998, he played a role in his very first movie titles Scent of a Man, and after that, he was cast on a K-drama teenage series titled School 2 that aired on KBS2 in 1999. But then, in 2009, Kim Rae-won left the entertainment industry for a while due to his responsibility as a civilian to join the army. In 2011, Kim Rae-won was discharged from military service and made a comeback in the drama series A Thousand Days’ Promise which aired on SBS.
