Tidal Wave (Haeundae) | 2009

This movie was released on July 23, 2009, and it is actually known to be the first disaster film made by South Korea. The story tells about how a tsunami is moving towards district Haeundae in Busan and how people cope with the aftermath. The thrilling movie was directed by director Yoon Je-Kyun and written by writers Kim Whee, Yoon Je-Kyun, and Yoo Sung-Hyub. In the movie, the child actress plays the role of Jin-soo.
The Gifted Hands (Saikometeuri) | 2013

This mystery and supernatural movie directed by director Kwon Ho-Young and written by Lee Young-Jong and Han Jun-Hee tells the story of detective Yang Choon-dong who coincidentally bumps into Kim Joon who has the special ability of psychometry which allows him to see someone else’s past by simply touching them. His special gift, though, has haunted him all throughout his life. In this movie, Kim Yoo-bin plays the role of Da-hee. The movie was released on March 7, 2013, in South Korea.
