Daehwi has a meaningful and long story to be in the entertainment world as an idol. He joined the survival show Produce 101 and debuted as a Wanna One member. After two years when the contract finished, he debuted again as a member of the boy group AB61X.

On May 22, 2019, Lee Dae-hwi debuted with AB6IX with B:Complete with the lead single “Breath.” This album contains the collaboration of the five members Jeon Woong, Kim Dong-hyun, Park Woo-jin, Lim Young-min, and Lee Dae-hwi. They performed at Olympic Hall to showcase their debut.
