8Eight is a Korean mixed idol group that consisted of Lee Hyun, Baek Chan, and Joo Hee. The trio was well known for singing and vocal talent. 8Eight was formed by Big Hit Entertainment in 2007 by releasing the debut album The First. Immediately after their debut, 8Eight received huge praise for their vocal color and ballads. Many fans considered them as the Korean version of Black Eyed Peas. 8Eight’s music is a combination of excellent ballad and rap genre.
The group was disbanded in 2014 but regrouped in 2019 to commemorate six years of their debut. After regrouping, Big Hit Entertainment announced the new contract for 8Eight members in 2019. A new single was released in February 2020.

Official Debut
8Eight was a mixed group formed by Big Hit Entertainment in 2007. Their vocal talent was unrivaled among their generation. Due to their excellent vocal capabilities, 8Eight received huge praise from both fans and the K-Pop community. Some fans were comparing the group with the worldwide popular co-ed group Black Eyed Peas.
Before debuting as 8Eight, each of the members was a Big Hit Entertainment trainee. All of the members participated in MBC’s Show Survival. 8Eight made a debut performance at MBC’s Show! Music Core on August 25th, 2007.
8Eight made a comeback performance and released the single “Don’t Go Crazy” in September 2014. Unfortunately, the co-ed group disbanded in 2014 after Baek Chan and Joo Hee decided against renewing their contracts with Big Hit Entertainment. Leader, Lee Hyun signed a new contract and continued his activities as a solo artist.
