2Eyes: Profile, Facts, Discography, Disbandment

Official Debut

The group made their debut on June 21st, 2013 through the release of the single and music video for their song “Don’t Mess With Me” (까불지마), in which the fellow artist under SidusHQ, actor Kim Woo-bin revealed to have made an appearance in the video.

There are two versions of the music video of their debut. The first is the drama version which features the appearance of Kim Woo-bin.

While another is the performance or dance version where the members reveal the full choreography for the song.

The group also made their debut performance through Mnet’s M Countdown, on June 20th, 2013, in which they showcased their swag and charm for this song.

Since their agency is better known for handling and managing South Korea’s top actors and actresses rather than idol groups, they received plenty of attention from the public for their debut who expressed it with warm comments on their YouTube music video:

“I like two eyes so much,” wrote one user.

“Wah, their choreography is really really amazing and their voices WAW !! they can sing live very well,” wrote another user.

“I love the song! And the group. And the dance… I hope they do well cause I love them,” another user commented.

Throughout their active years, the group has released three single albums:

The first one is their debut single, “Don’t Mess With Me” (까불지마), released on June 21st, 2013. The song could be downloaded as a digital format as it was released digitally. Their lyrics feature the assertiveness of the women as can be seen in this piece of lyrics below:

We met for the first time and I may seem desirable
Don’t mess with me, stop now
Your eyes that underestimate me, your hands that call out to me
You can fall for me but you can’t have me

The second one is, “Shooting Star” which was released on October 8th, 2013, and generated KOR: 26,647+ sales and even ranked 90th on the Korean chart. The song’s cheery chorus will uplift the spirit of everyone who listens to it.

And the last single before their disbandment and after Yeonjun’s departure is “Pippi” which was released on August 26th, 2015. The music video concept for “Pippi” is based on the children’s stories character Pippi Longstocking which then explains their customer choice where the members are playing character dress up for Pippi. Unfortunately, the video raised controversy with the Swedish company, Saltkråkan, which owned the copyright to the character Pippi Longstocking, and was complaining about the copyright to the character Pippi Longstocking. It was revealed that the agency SidusHQ hadn’t asked for permission to use the character.

All of their songs are produced by the labels SidusHQ and LOEN Entertainment.
