Pre-debut Activities

Before 2Eyes made their debut under the label SidusHQ and producer Hyun jin-young, the group was firstly called god5 (갓파이브) to relive the model of the five-member legendary group g.o.d and to mark the first investment of SidusHQ in a girl group after g.o.d and the brief girl group LUV. They eventually made their debut under the name 2Eyes which derived from the idea of the members captivating and communicating with the audience through their eyes.

Before debuting and putting together the group, a few of the members have been contestants in some popular competition shows. Member Hyangsuk and Dasom were both participants in the talent competition Made in U that aired on JTBC. Meanwhile, member Hyerin used to train under JYP Entertainment before switching to SidusHQ.

Daeun had also been known as a dancer before deciding to be an idol, while former member Yeonjun became the last members to join the group after leaving from an unsuccessful duo called Spiel (스피넬로) and competing in the KBS singing program The Last Audition Of My Life.

Before they released their official album, the group also recorded a cover of the soundtrack for the highly acclaimed SBS drama That Winter, The Wind Blows. Released in May 2013 ahead of their debut, the group recorded the song titled “Winter Love” (겨울사랑).
