T-ara ventured to Japan by releasing their first Japanese album ‘Jewelry Box’ on June 6, 2012. The album contains thirteen tracks of which twelve of them are the Japanese version of their hits such as Bo Peep Bo Peep, Ya Ya Ya, Why Are You Being Like This?, Apple is A, Time To Love, Roly Poly, I Go Crazy Because Of You, Lie, Love Game, I’m Very Hurt, Cry Cry, and Lovey Dovey, and the Japanese track titled ‘T-ARATiC MAGiC MUSic’. One of T-ara’s greatest hits, ‘Ya Ya Ya’ was released on December 1, 2010, and included on their mini-album titled ‘Temptastic‘. The song is produced by E-Tribe and despite its catchy tune, ‘Ya Ya Ya’ was criticized for its ‘nonsensical’ lyrics. ‘Ya Ya Ya’ won the first place spot for Mnet’s M! Countdown broadcast in December 12, 2010. Besides ‘Ya Ya Ya’, the EP also includes other tracks such as ‘Why Are You Being Like This’, ‘Ma Boo’, ‘I Don’t Know’, and ‘It’s Alright’. T-ara released their debut studio album ‘Absolute First’ on November 27, 2009 (digital) and December 4, 2009 (physical). ‘Mirage’ is T-ara’s repackage album for their fourth mini-album ‘Day by Day’ and contains two new songs titled ‘Sexy Love’ (released on September 3, 2012) and ‘Day and Night (Love All)’  (released on September 8, 2012). T-ara announced to make a comeback in July 2011 with the release of mini album ‘John Travolta Wannabe’. The title track ‘Roly Poly’ is composed by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Gyusung who had previously composed T-ara’s hits song ‘Bo Peep Bo Peep’. The name of the album ‘John Travolta Wannabe’ came from the members who watched the movie ‘Saturday Night Fever’.

Aside from the title track ‘Roly Poly’, ‘John Travolta Wannabe’ also contains other tracks such as ‘I Love You So Much’, ‘Ya Ya Ya (Remix ver.)’, ‘Why Are You Being Like This? (Remix ver.)’, ‘Ma Boo (Remix ver.)’, ‘I Don’t Know (Remix ver.)’, and ‘It’s Alright (Remix ver.)’. T-ara released their fifth mini album ‘Again’ on October 10, 2013. The album marked T-ara’s restructure as the original line up of six members girl group after Ahreum’s departure. Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Gyusung composed the title track ‘Number 9’ whereas other tracks such as ‘Because I Know’, ‘Hurt’, and ‘Don’t Get Married’ are composed by notable composers such as Duble Sidekick, Baek Hyunsung, and Kim Hyunsung. T-ara came back with four members after Soyeon and Boram’s departure by releasing ninth mini album ‘What’s My Name’ on June 14, 2017. This album would be T-ara’s final release before its disbandment following promotions. The title track ‘What’s My Name’ is composed by Brave Brothers and Two Champ Chakun.
